WEEKLY WRAP-UP! #2

Hello and happy Sunday everyone! I hope your week was good and that you had a relaxing weekend! I got my first weekend off work since… I can’t remember but at least a month, and I am so happy! I got to relax a bit and rest because this week was soooo tiring! But at least it wasn’t bad and I have read a lot!

What am I reading?

I have just started both of my current reading, but so far they seems pretty interesting. The Great Big Demon Hunting Agency started pretty good, and I want to see what would happen in there. The world is interesting and even if I am not still invested in the characters, I am curious. And I can’t really say something about A Spindle Splintered because I have read something like 10 pages so… so far I am enjoying it but it’s way too early to say really something!

What have I read?

My first two books of the month weren’t amazing. Cleansing Rain has some good things going on but… it does not have an ending. It’s not that it’s a cliffhanger, it’s that simply the book does not end. And to me, this is not acceptable. And Collarbound does not have a plot. This is the first book in a series, but it should be the first half-book in a series. The plot starts when the book ends. The author did a great job putting the characters in place, setting a fascinating world on the brink of war but… nothing happens if not for the last chapter (that is between the 10 and the 20 pages). So… I enjoyed the reading but I have not enjoyed the book. And I am mad at it. But lucky for me, things got better! Dial A For Aunties is crazy, is bananas, and is fun as hell. It may be too much, at least for me, but I went in prepared and things work out smoothly! Sure, sometimes things were too much but I was having such a great time out of it, that I didn’t really care! And then we have This Is Going To Hurt. It was a pleasant read, and I think we need more books like this one because hard work should be recognized, always. And I discovered that there is a tv show based on it, so now I am curious to check that one out!

What Would I Read?

I think that my next read would be Witches Abroad. It is a re-read, but since I went back to the Witches sub-series it was a given, because I think I have still to read for the first time only the last one but I really don’t care, it’s a pleasure reading all the sub-series with some kind of order, and I am really looking forward to it!

Blogging and Personal Life

I may be done with the end-of-the-year kind of posts, but the keyword here is “may”. And at the moment I can’t check because I am in a bit of a hurry. I need to go out soon (groceries would not wait!) and I need to finish this post now, so here we are. Anyway, I have still a ton of reviews to write, and there is some news on the SPSFC2 front that I want to share with you all, and I hope to manage for Monday, because it would be a great way to start the week! And then I should really get some reviews written!

On the personal side of things, there is not much to say. It was a really long and tiring week at work, and I spent the week feeling like a 90-year-old woman, but at least I read a lot. And I have finished the re-watch of the first season of Bones. Now I have to find the time for the other seasons, and maybe check out the one based on the book I have just finished. And go and watch the second season of Hospital Playlist because I need it. Okay… I think I may be in the mood for some tv shows, or so it seems!

And what about you? How was your week? Let me know!

Happy reading!

Yes, I am very lucky. It seems like I ak struggling to find the time to do a lot of things, but at least I don’t have the same problem for reading. And there are periods in which we manage to read more, and other when we read less. But they are just that, periods!

I’m looking forward to trying Dial A for Aunties later this year. And the title of The Great Big Demon Hunting Agency sounds interesting. I’ve got to look up what it’s about.
