JUNE WRAP-UP!

Hello everybody! I went on another unplanned hiatus but I am back! I also courted a reading slump, and even if I am not really in the clear it seems it was a small thing and I am still reading so, even if the mood is strange and not stable (reading-wise), I am back and I hope to keep going at least for all the month of July! And anyway, let’s take a look at June. It started as an amazing reading month, and it ended in a sort of slump, but all in all I can’t complain!

Books read: 11 + 1 short novella
Physical books Vs ebooks: 1 vs 11
ARCs: 3

The Amazing Ones!

These two. My God, these two books. They were so good. So amazing. And so everything that I have no coherent words for them. But you should just trust me and read them. Read them!!!

The Really Really Really Good Ones!

The Lightning-Struck Heart is an amazing and hilarious book. It is so good. And so funny. And it is one of the most quotable books ever. I loved it!!!! A Drink Before We Die is a really short novella, but it is amazingly good. And the MC is really something. I was hooked! And then we have Name Of The Devil, which is not really as good as the other two, and it is not as good as the first book in the series, but it was pretty good all the same and it kept me hooked so… here we are!

The Good Ones!

The Kiss Quotient is a funny romance, we had some problems along the way but the book was not bad, and it was the right book to just take a break from other more demanding books. The Undertaking of Hart And Mercy was a tad disappointing because it was not really what I was expecting but it is a good book with a lot of good things going on. The Builders was quite surprising, and it was an interesting reading, and Literary Place was a nice break from fiction, and it was nice to see some places through the lenses of literature.

The DNFed One!

I was hoping for an interesting reading, but to me, this one was plain boring so… nope! It may also be that I was courting the slump, so I was less patient than usual but I wasn’t interested in this one. At all.

The SPSFC Ones

I hope to write the review really soon for both of these. They are quite interesting and even if they are not really my cup of tea, I had a good time with them.

My Reviews:
Age of Ash by D. Abraham
In The Shadow Of Lightning by B. McClellan
An Illusion of Thieves by C. Glass
A Star Named Vega by B. J. Roberts
Jester by B.D. Porter

Series:
Finished: 1
Continued: 1

At least I wrote some reviews, and this is amazing! And I have also finished a series. Yay! And this Summer I am taking part to Summer Of Sequels, and I have a nice TBR piled up, plus every sequel I read, because I know that I would go outside my TBR, it is a law for me! But I am quite optimistic, I am really trying to continue some series, and I think this Summer I’ll do great! I didn’t read anything this month that could count for the Picture Bingo, but I have two books for The Sound Of Madness. I used The Builders for the Creatures prompt, and In The Shadow Of Lightning for the Oops, I did it again prompt, because I started a new series once again, and once by an author I am already reading. And usually I try to not do it. But… oops, I did it again!

And what about you? And have you read some of the books I have mentioned? And how was your past month?? Let me know!!!

Happy reading!
S.

It happened at the end of the month, luckily, and it was an almost thing. So I was really lucky, even if it’s still lingering I think… I am reading but the mood is not at its best. Maybe it’s that or maybe it’s a series of “wrong” books!
