Happy Sunday! I hope you all are happy and that you are enjoying your weekend! Here it is really really really hot, so I feel like just relaxing is the way! And I am lucky to have some great books to keep me company!

What am I reading?

I am still reading Dragon Mage, because it really is a big book! But things are going well (they could be better because I was hoping for more, but I am having a good time all the same, so that’s not bad at all!). And then I have finally started The Lightning-Struck Heart. This was on my TBR for so long, and I think it would have waited some more time, but I read Sophie‘s review and now here we are! I was in need of a relaxing and funny reading, and this seems to check all the boxes!

What have I read?

Iron Truth was the last book for this year’s SPSFC and it was a good book, but it was long, too, and it wasn’t really the smartest thing on my part to choose to read two really long and quite demanding books together. I can be stupid that way, sometimes, and there were times that I felt a tad stuck by my reading. So I read The Kiss Quotient in between, to just add some levity to the mix. And it really was a thing that I needed.

What Would I read?

I hope to read both of these books soon. Name of the Devil is here because at the moment I feel the need for riveting books, and if they are not fantasy, the best. In part because I am trying to read more non-fantasy books (and I love thrillers, so this is not a core!) and in part, because I need a break. And The Last Blade Priest would be my next ARC, after a little break from fantasy, obviously, because I am taking part in the blog tour in July and I am really excited to read this book!

Blogging and Personal Life

I should be writing reviews, especially for the SPSFC books, but lately, I am not really feeling like it. It is just too hot to think straight! Sigh. But I joined a couple of “challenges” because I said that this Summer I wanted to try without TBR and to catch up with my goals. It lasted a month, so knowing me this was not too bad. But it is not so good either. But now I have some more things to look forward to and I can’t really complain.
So next week I would write a post about that, and I am thinking about talking a tad more about the series I am following since one of the challenges would be about series. So yeah, probably I won’t write any review for the next week, but we will see!

On a personal level, I complained about the weather so there is not much else to say. A friend of ours came to visit this week-end, and I wasn’t working, so I enjoyed some off time, and it was relaxing and fun. So yay!!!

And that’s all for today! How was your week? And you reading?? Let me know!!

Happy reading!

Sorry it’s so hot there. Our hot weather hasn’t arrived yet, it’s usually the worst in July and August. I’m curious about The Last Blade Priest! Have a good week😁

Usually the hottest months are July and August for us, too, but… This year not so much (and I really hope that it won’t keep up with this weather till the end of Summer because it would be the death of me!!). And I am quite curious about that book, it sounds intriguing!
