WEEKLY WRAP-UP! #16

Hello and happy Sunday everyone! I hope you all are having a good time, and that you are reading some amazing books! So far June is being awesome! I am feeling quite brave, because it seems like chunky is the word, at least so far! I know that in the next weeks I’ll go with something a little bit short, but so far I am going with big books and I am happy! Also, I have read some amazing things so far, so yay!!!!

What am I reading?

Both of these books are quite chunky, even if the prize for the chunkiest goes to… Dragon Mage! It is really hard on my arms, but I am not complaining. So far I am having a good time with it, but it would keep me company for some time, so be prepared to see him around for a bit! It is at the same time classic and original, and it is an amazing combo to be! And then we have Iron Truth, the last book for SPSFC that I have to read, and so far I am quite enjoying it. It’s captivating and once you are reading it you are sucked into the story and the world. I have to admit that I am a bit stuck at the moment, because next week would be a busy one and I do not know how much time I would have to read, but since I am enjoying both of my currently reading, I think all would go well!

What have I read?

There aren’t a lot of new things in there this week, but we have some really good things. First thing first, In The Shadow Of Lightning is amazing. Beautiful. Surprising. This book has it all! You have to read it. You just have! Oh my! Read it!!! Then we have The Builders which is a fast and original book, and The Undertaking Of Hart And Mercy. I was really really excited about this one, and on one hand, it fell a tad short of my expectations, because I was expecting something more light-hearted and more happy-feeling, but on the other, it is a good book all the same with some good characters (and dogs!!!). I really hope to write a review soon. But before this, I have to write the one for McClellan’s book and I don’t know how to do it. I am still a babbling fangirl and the only coherent thought inside my head is: “go and read the book!!!!!!!”.

What Would I read?

I don’t really know. I have read something like 100 pages for both of the books I am reading at the moment, and since it is just a scratch on them, I don’t really know what I would read once I would finish them.

Blogging and Personal Life

As I was saying before, this week would be quite busy, so I don’t know how much time I would spend blogging, sadly, and I have to write the review for In The Shadow Of Lightning, but it is just so hard. I loved this book so much!!!! So, I’ll keep my fingers crossed and see what would happen next week!

On the personal side, I am not really happy about the hot weather, I keep being exhausted more often than not, and I am again behind with house chores, sigh! But it wasn’t all bad! On Saturday we visited my parents, and it was pure bliss, even more so because where they live there is always a cool breeze and it is refreshing, so refreshing! Obviously, I was happy to see them, and we get to eat a lot and laugh even more, so it really was a good thing, and Ade had a great time too.

And that’s all for today! How was your week? And you reading?? Let me know!!

Happy reading!
S.

I am really regretting not requesting In the Shadow of Lightning, you are the second person I’ve seen rave about it today. I love seeing photos of Ade, he looks so happy😁 Have a good week, Susy!
