Hello people and happy Sunday! Today I will spend my Sunday at work, so I hope that yours is going better than mine! And okay, okay, I had some days off -work this week, so it is not so bad but still… it could be better. At least, I read some good books this week!
What am I reading?

I am so proud of myself because I am reading two books from my Winter TBR! To be honest, I think that with Tower Lord it would be a very slow thing, but I feel like going back to it, so here we are. Let’s hope that this would be the right time for it! And I have started A Master of Djinn. I am quite enjoying this one, on one hand, I was hoping for something more, but so far it is an enjoyable and intriguing book, so I can’t complain too much!
What have I read?

I hope to write soon a review for The Trellis because I really enjoyed this book! It has some really interesting ideas and it was quite surprising! Ancillary Justice was another big surprise. I loved it! It was a bit confusing at times, but I loved it!!! And I am also happy to say that I have finally managed to read a book by Tanya Huff! Blood Price is the first book in this urban fantasy series, and it is a re-read because I have read it ages ago, and I can’t remember if I read the second book, but I remember that I enjoyed this series (at least as far as I have read it) but at the time I was reading it in Italian and they discontinued it so I just dropped it and… here we are! Tanya Huff was an author that I wanted to go back to this year, and I am really happy to have done it! It is a bit strange to read a book that seems set in the present but in which there are no cellphones and they all have answering machines. It made me feel old!! But it was a good book! And then I have a DNF. Terrestrial Magic has an interesting concept but it was not really so interesting, aside from the fact that we have legendary creatures who now roam the Earth. This was interesting, but all the rest, sadly, not so much.
What Would I read?

I should have chosen a book from the SPSFC list, but then I read Diantha’s review about this series and I suddenly know which book would be my next one. I just had to choose this one, because her review is compelling and it touches all the right chords. I need to start this series and I need it now! Also, it is a book on my TBR so I am not feeling guilty in the least!
Blogging and Personal Life
On the blogging side, I hope to write a couple of reviews for the next week, even if my working schedule will be quite full, so it is more a hope than a project! And since I have read some books in November (yay!) probably it would be the right time for a monthly recap!
On the personal side, it was a nice and uneventful week. Saturday aside. It was a good day (really, really good) but we had just a lot to do. We had to take Ade to play a bit and we came back home completely coated in mud (yay!), then an early Christmas present arrived (we changed our television), so there was that to install and then I had to run to work. So yeah, it was a really good day, but I didn’t have a chance to just relax a bit. But I can’t really complain. When you are busy but in the right way, all is good!
And what about you? How was your week? And what have you read?? Let me know!
Happy reading!
S.
I’ve seen lots of mixed reviews for Ancillary Justice, so I’m happy to hear you loved it. That makes me want to give it a try. Hope your week is good!

That’s fair enough, I read it in between some heavy fantasy so it was a nice change of pace 😂. You’re welcome!! 🥰💜
