Hello people! It seems like I went on an unplanned hiatus. Again. At the moment I am in a sort of slump. A blogging slump, and a reading slump, lucky me, the reading slump is not too bad, but my mood is not really good at the moment, and I don’t think it would improve soon so… I just have to wait it out. But at least it seems like I am back. I don’t know if I will manage to be back at 100% or not, I guess that we will see. Anyway, now I am back with the recap of my bookish July. It was a good month for reading. I was in the right mood for some pop-corn reading, and it went amazingly well! Even if I wasn’t so good with the phisycal books this month. I haven’t read any of them, argh! But let’s start!
Books read: 18
Physical books Vs ebooks: 0 vs 18
ARCs: 6
The Amazing Ones!

This was all amazing and captivating books. I loved them all and I couldn’t put them down. Radiance was sweet and surprising. A Magical Inheritance was brilliant, Cast In Chaos was captivating as all its prequels and Solomon’s Seal was wow! Now I need to keep going with all this series!
The really really good ones!

Thornbound is the sequel of Snowspelled and even if I enjoyed the first one more, this one was not disappointing. And I think that we need more book like this one! Zodiac Academy is the first in this series, and even if I didn’t love it, I enjoyed it a lot. So much so, that I binge-read the first four books of the series. It is not perfect, but it is quite addictive. And then we have The Inheritance Games. I went in blind with this one, and I loved it from the first page. It was captivating, and it was almost impossible to put it down!

Two Witched and A Whiskey and Demon Magic and A Martini are the third and fourth book in this series, and it is a fun and action-packed series, that I am loving. The Godstone is an interesting and original epic fantasy, with some interesting character, and The Naturalist, even if far from perfect, was a really fast-paced thriller, with an interesting MC (we have a Rambo transformation in there, but… I enjoyed it all the same!).
The Good Ones!

The Maleficent Seven is a pretty original book. It is also dark. A lot. But I enjoyed it! The Outlands is a dystopic coming of age story, and the world-building is solid. And then we have The City Of Brass. To be honest, I don’t know if I’d continue the series, but I loved the world-building, and the story was fascinating.
The Okay Ones!

City of Iron and Dust is pretty unique, but it is not my cup of tea. Sinister Magic and The Unexplainable Fairy Godmother were entertaining but nothing to write home about, and The Bone Shard Daughter was a bit of a disappointment. We have an interesting world-building, but all the rest was pretty meh. I think that, at least in part, my expectations were too high.
My Reviews:
–The Outlands by T. Edwards
–A Magical Inheritance by K.D. Ball
–Solomon’s Seal by S.D. Cameron
–The Godstone by V. Malan
Series:
Finished: 0
Continued: 3
So, that’s all for July. My August is going pretty well too, considering the slump, because at least I am reading some pretty good books, but I would talk about them in the next monthly wrap-up!
And what about you? And have you read some of the books I have mentioned? And how were your past months?? Let me know!!!
Happy reading!

Ooh I am currently reading radiance. It’s a good book but it’s so slow paced 😖😩 and omg yes!!!! The inheritance games was stunning

Yes, it wasn’t fast-paced but I loved the relationship between the two quite a lot, so the pace didn’t bothered me. I am sorry that you are finding it troublesome!!

Totally understand the slump, I’m blogging but I’m pushing myself even though I’m not always feeling it. I’m dying to read more Grace Draven, I need to try Radiance 😁

It seems like this year there is a lot of slumps around, so let’s hope things would get better for everyone!! And I really enjoyed Radiance, so now, obviously, I need to read more of her books, too!

Radiance has been on my radar for years, it sounds so good and sweet!
I feel you with the blogging slump, I have been reading this year but it has been very hard for me to motivate myself to post anything. 😦 Hopefully we’ll be able to blog more toward the end of the year!

It is a sweet book and even if the main part revolves about the romance, it is an amazing romance! (there are other things too, and they are quite interesting but the romance in there is refreshing to say the least!).
And let’s hope we’ll both be active from now on, then!! 🤞
