WEEKLY WRAP-UP! #12

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you all are safe and happy, and that your week was good! Here the weather has turned cold again. In the Easter’s week it was hot and a real Spring weather, sunny and happy. Then it became a bit too hot, really, it was almost Summer and then… then we are back on Winter. It is a bit crazy!

What am I reading?

I am still reading The Grace of Kings. I was hoping to have more time to dedicate to it, but I was also hoping for it to be a bit more… captivating. I haven’t read a lot, that’s true, because I have read something like 100 pages, so things can go better (and I really hope so!) but so far it isn’t as good as I was expecting. Let’s keep our finger crossed! Then I have started Mythos and I decided to take my sweet time with this one too. I think that two non fiction books so near each other is not the best for me, I needed something that hooked me up, so I have started it, and so far I am enjoying it, but I would take it slowly. And so we have a third book in my currently reading section. I know, three are quite a lot, but I was in need of something more captivating, and so I started Poison or Protect. This is a standalone and so far is living up to my expectations!

What have I read?

I am feeling quite proud of myself, since I have posted the reviews for two of these books!!! Rocket Fuel was just so intriguing and interesting and it really talk to the bookworm in me! And Mastermind was compelling and thrilling. I loved it! Dangerous Remedy is a book that I have just finished and I have to think a bit about it, because I have mixed feelings toward this one. On one hand the idea behind it is pretty great, on the other I had some problems with one of the MC and… and with some other minor things, so I have to think a bit about this one! And last but not least, All Fired Up. This is a fast-paced urban fantasy with some intriguing characters and it was quite a pleasure to read. Also, it has some good rep for mental health issue! Now I just have to go and read the main series!

What Would I read?

I am not so sure on what to read next, because I have just started my Carriger’s book, so it would take a while for me to decide on the next reading, but I really hope to read those two! The Thief Who Spat In Luck’s Good Eye is the second book in this series, and I loved the first one, so it is time to go back to it! Or at least I hope so. And it would also be good for me to go back to my Spring TBR, and so I think I would try Boyfriend Material since my mood seems to go toward lighter books in this period!

Blogging and Personal Life

If all goes as planned, next week I would have some days off work. I am looking forward to them, and I hope to do some relaxing things too, because I think I am in dire need of them, but I think that, mostly, I would do things related to moving. Because in May I would finally move, and May is almost here!!!!! And I am excited, so much! And also quite anxious. It isn’t the moving per se, that is manageable, it is that we are buying the house, and the furniture and we have to manage our schedule constantly because there is so much to do, and there is poor Ade too (and he need time dedicated to just him, too!) and so… yeah, anxious too. But I am so excited for May to be here!! So, I would try my best to be present here and to keep up with blog hopping, too, at least until the end of the month, but I am not making promises!

On the blogging side, I hope to write at least a couple of reviews, and it is also the right time for another Blame It On The Community post, so… I think this would be it for the next week!

And what about you? How was your week? And what have you read?? Let me know!

Happy reading!
S.

Oh I’m curious about Poison or Protect, I enjoyed a lot of Carriager books a while ago, but haven’t kept up with her series, but a standalone would be easy to get into and fun.

I have finished it because it was really a fast reading! This one was a romance with some spyish thing in there, and even if we met Akeldama and we know that there are werewolves we don’t get any fantasy in there or a lot of action. But it was good!

Buying a house and moving sounds a little stressful but so exciting! I can’t tell you how much I want to move (we have been in our house almost 20 years and I’m ready for something bigger). Have fun with your time off!
