WEEKLY WRAP-UP! #8

Hello everyone, and happy Sunday! I hope your week was a good one, and that you are safe and happy. This week was quite tiring. I was hoping that the magic of the Spring weather would have helped me out but… nope! It is true that this week was colder than the previous one, but it was sunny for the most part (even if quite windy, argh!). Anyway, even if I was quite tired all week, it was not a bad one. I had read quite a lot, even if I haven’t done much of the rest… I really want to watch more tv series for example, but it seems like I am going back to my bad habits (A.K.A. reading) but… I would hope to do better in the near future!

What am I reading?

To be honest I have started Half A War by Abercrombie, but then I wasn’t really feeling like it and so I decided to try something a bit more… light, in some ways, and so I went back to this series. I have read The Spirit Thief some years ago, but then I never continued the series (the same old story, sigh!), so instead on going on with the second book I decided to re-read the first one. I haven’t really read a lot of it, but so far I am enjoying it. And then I have started Pocket Apocalypse. So far it is exactly as I was expecting. I have a sort of strange relationship with this series, but it is not bad, and it is an enjoyable reading.

What have I read?Β

This week I wasn’t really good following my TBR, that’s true, but I cannot really complain, since I decided to go with the mood! I was suddendly make aware that the r/fantasy Bingo is ending, and I was missing a book so I decided to read this last one before it was too late, and since I was missing a book about books I decided to go with The Left-Handed Booksellers of London, because I wanted to read it but I was constantly procrastinating. And I have to say that this is quite the peculiar book, but it was a really pleasant ride. Then I decided to just go with the mood, and since I was feeling in need of something… trashy (I don’t want to offend anyone here!) and I tried out Crave. And you know what? I had a great time with it! Really!!! And then we have the books from the last week post, so no surprises here: One Day All This Will Be Yours, Troubled Blood and The Conductors. All three of them were great books, so yay!

What Would I read?Β

I am not really sure, because I think I would follow the mood for my next reading, but one of the most likely candidate is Only Ashes Remain, because I am really curious to continue this series. But we will see!

Blogging and Personal LifeΒ

This week I felt quite tired, but I have said that, and I didn’t manage to do all the things that I wanted to do, but I managed to finish one of my crochet projects, yay, and I may have used Ade as a model. He wasn’t really so happy about it, he doesn’t like to wear things, but… oh well! It was just so cute! And for once there it was the right light so I took a lot of pictures of him, because believe me, black is not the right color for pics! Usually you don’t see his expression at all, but this week we went lucky!

On the blogging side of things, I hope to write a TBR for Spring, and I am taking part to a blog tour, and my scheduled place is on Sunday, so this would be the last weekly recap for this month, because we are nearing the end of the month, too. There would be other posts, too, or at least I hope, but those two are the only one I am quite sure about.

And what about you? How was your week? And what have you read?? Let me know!

Happy reading!
S.

Thank you!! And initially I snobbed Crave but now I am really happy to have read it. Sure, it is not the best book ever but… But it was fun, and some parts were just brilliant!
And have a good week you, too!

There is nothing wrong with sometimes (or frequently πŸ˜‚) wanting to read something trashy and/or smutty. I figure our brain occasionally needs a “rest and reset”. I like to think of it as the book equivalent of watching an Indiana Jones movie or a Die Hard film. Have a good week!

Well, to each her own! πŸ˜‰ But usually books are my to go thing, and once reading, especially when the book is a good one, stopping to do something else (and it could be watching a TV show or do house chores, I am bad that way!) it is just so hard to stop!!
      And thank you!! ❀️
