WEEKLY WRAP-UP! #6

Hello everyone! I hope that this first week of March was good! We got some beautiful days, warm and sunny and it was beautiful! Obviously this weekend I am at home and it’s raining. Oh well… Anyway, I read quite a lot this week, so let’s start with the recap!

What am I reading?

Parsnips, Buttered is a funny book and it was exactly what I was expecting. I am taking it slow, reading a chapter here and there, but I am quite satisfied with it. And I am reading Miss Bennet’s Dragon. This wasn’t on my TBR, and it wasn’t on my radar even, until I have discovered it on NetGalley and I just had to request it. And, as you can guess, I got approved! More Mr. Darcy and dragons?? How could I have resisted?? And you know what? So far I am loving it!! It is really hard to put down, and if thigns go well I would finish it this evening… ah, the bliss of looking forward to a day of reading!

What have I read?

This week I was a really good bookworm and followed my TBR. Yay! UNSUB was a really captivating reading. It is not perfect and there were a couple of things that didn’t sit so well with me, but it was gripping and I couldn’t stop reading! I wrote a review, but since a good chunk of it is spoilery because it was necessary to talk about what went wrong for me, I have published it only on Goodreads, were it is far more easier to hide the spoiler part. To Nurture and Kill was an interesting reading, we get to know a character, who is really interesting. It is a fast reading, and it is a sort of appetizer, so now I need more! Spirit Rising was another fast reading, and I enjoyed it so much! It is fast, funny and it has some interesting (and original) characters! The only book that wasn’t on my TBR is Gridlinked, but I have started it in February so that’s okay. The world-building is complex and seriously sci-fi so it was a bit hard to me to not feel out of my element sometimes, but it was a good book nonetheless and I would continue this series. There were some interesting characters, even if my favorite was a psycho Droid… I don’t know it says about me, but the book was good!

What Would I read?

This week I may have requested some new titles on NetGalley (and I was approved! I am so so happy!! *insert happy dance here*) and I received a couple of books to review from other sources so… Yeah, I have to try and read them too. So I hope to get a couple of titles off my TBR before starting with the new books, and I really hope that the books would be those two!

Blogging and Personal Life

The good weather helped me a lot this week. I had pretty long days at work, but I was less tired than usual, and that helped a lot with all the rest. To be honest I didn’t watch any TV shows and I didn’t crochet, sadly, but I did my house chores (even if I have “forgotten” to iron… Silly me!) and I spent a lot of time outside with Ade. And I have read a lot so… No regrets here!

On the blogging side I hope to write a couple of reviews, and there is a post that I wanted to share since the beginning of the year, about the authors that are on my radar but I have not written it yet, maybe this would be the right time!

And what about you? How was your week? And what have you read?? Let me know!

Happy reading!
S.

I read another book of Mr/ Darcy with Dragons, uhh it was called Pemberly, Mr. Darcy’s Dragon by Maria Grace, it was lovely and I’m veeeery into P&P with dragons, so might give this one a try too.
By the way, have you read Tooth and Claw by Jo Walton? Same approximate period, only a bit later, and only dragons, no humans, some cannibalism.

I have to check out Pemberley, Mr. Darcy’s Dragon because it seems intriguing! And I have Tooth and Claw on my TBR, it was pretty low on there because so many books and so little time, but I have just moved it up a bit because I am curious! Thank you!!!
