BLAME IT ON THE COMMUNITY! #1

Hello everyone! I hope you all are safe and happy! This week was so full of things to do, and the week has not yet ended… I was a bit busy, and I still am, but finally I have managed to be back here, yay! Today I am here to share with you all the new arrival on my TBR! And since in January I didn’t post this meme, it would be richer than usual!

The book community is an amazing place, where you can discover good book after good book. Yes, the community is not the only meaning to discover new books, but it’s one of the most pleasant and rich. And the additions to my TBR are always a lot when I frequent the book community (blog, twitter, Goodreads or Instagram. On every platform this is the best way to discover new books!) so I thought it would be nice to share some appreciation for the hard work that sometimes promoting our favorite reading could be!
I have to say that I won’t always be able to say where I discovered all the books that I mentioned, but all the books I would mention in this meme are books that I discovered thanks to you all. It could be a review, a can’t wait Wednesday, a twit, a post somewhere. It’s not important what, just know that I have you to thanks to making me discover new books!

Memento is a prequel to the Illuminae Files. I have somewhat a strange relationship with novellas in series. Usually once I consider a series ended, to me is ended. I won’t go back and read prequels or short stories, there is not really a reason, it is just as I usually do. But I have read an amazing review of this short stories on Maddalena‘s blog, and I couldn’t pass the opportunity to know more about AIDAN. So here it is, and I really really hope to read it soon! The Merciful Crow is a book that was on my radar for a long time, but I was undecided about it. At least until Lisa’s review. After reading that I have no more doubts! And I discovered The Maleficent Seven thanks to Tammy. This book seems so intriguing!!! And then we have two non-fiction books, The Lucifer Effect, that I discovered thanks to Kat‘s review, and Parsnip, Buttered that I found on Chris Green Reads. These books all seem amazing, and I cannot wait to read them all!!!

I discovered (or re-discovered in the case of Black Sun Rising, since it was on my GR TBR but I have no recollection of it, at all!) all of these books thanks to r/fantasy on Reddit. That place is really bad for my TBR, really, almost like the blogging community. It goes without saying, but I am really looking forward to all of these books!

And what do you think? Have you read some of them? And which are the new entries in your TBR? Let me know!

Happy reading!
S.

I loved that format! It was a bit strange in the beginning, that’s for sure, but I think it add some depths to the story and in the end I loved it! I hope you would love it!! (also, I can understand that this format can be off-putting and that, obviously, it is impossible that all would love it, but I hope you would enjoy it in the end nonetheless!)
