Hello and happy Monday everyone! I am really happy because I managed to visit my parents during the weekend, yay! And today I am here with this post that I should have published well before now but… lately I wasn’t so good with blogging and so I am a bit late but… here I am!

Those three are three series that I really really wanted to start last year, but I haven’t managed it, sadly. So here they are! I am quite happy because, to tell you the truth, I have started one of them. I have read Strange Practice in January, and I have really enjoyed this first volume. And I really hope to start the others too!

The Tensorate is a new entry in this list, but the other three titles are books that I wanted to read since forever! Every year I try to start them and every single time I fail. But maybe 2021 would be their (and my) lucky year!
But since I am an ambitious bookworm (or, to be more precise, since there are so many amazing books out there, and I am terrible at keeping up with series, plus my memory is awful, sigh!) there are some series that I really really want to re-read from the beginning, before continuing them. And it is quite a long list, too!

These are the series that I really hope to go back to. I wanted to do it since forever, again, and I really really hope to do it this year.

These are more a wish than a goal, because there is ambitious and then there is crazy. And with these ones I may border on the crazy side, but wishing costs nothing, right??
And what about you? Have you read these series? And which series do you wish to start this year? Let me know!!!!
Happy reading!
S.
I’m more in the planning to finish-some-series-because-I’ve’started-far-too-many camp, Strange Practice, Daevabad and Abhorsen are on my list to finish

I can’t stay in that camp alone, I have tried it and failed miserably so now I try to balance things out a bit!

A very ambitious list, Susy😁 I personally would love to start The City of Brass and read the whole series. I’ve heard nothing but good things.

I may have been a tad too ambitious but… Oh well!! And I have heard a lot of good things about THE city of Brass series, too!! Let’s hope we would both read it!

Artemis Fowl was one of my favorite series when I was in elementary/middle school. I’ve only read the first five books, and I’ve heard they went a little downhill after that. I’d love to go back and revisit them. The books are very short (at least the first 4 are), and can be read in just a few hours, if even that long.
I blew through the first six books of Wheel of Time after I started reading them in 2019, and then I got stuck on Book 7 for all of 2020. It’s still sitting on my coffee table, taunting me. I’m 31 books into reading this year, and I still can’t bring myself to pick up Book 7.

I have read some of Artemis Fowl books a lot of time ago, I think I have read 3 or 4 of them and I remember that they were fun! I really hope to get back to them, but knowing that they are a fast reading help a lot! Thank you!!
And for The Wheel of Time I feel you. I have started this series ages ago, I think it was something like 15 years ago, given or taken, and I was reading one or two of them per year until I have reached the 7th one and then… Nothing. And it is a bit of a shame because, even if I am not a huge fan of the series, I have enjoyed the books I have read so far! Let’s hope we both would manage to go back to it!!!

Well I’ve read several of these and I’d highly recommend the Garth Nix series as well as City of Brass. I think you might enjoy both of those. 🙂

I really hope to read them both, and to do it soon!!

For what it’s worth, I read Sabriel and Blood Song and enjoyed them both a lot, for totally different reasons! 😀

I really hope to read them soon! Blood Song was so so good! I remember loving it, even if the second one wasn’t as good as the first (it wasn’t bad, just not so good!) but I don’t remember much else, so I hope to start it again and, this time around, finish it too!

City of Brass is already on my TBR, but I keep shifting it down the queue because I get distracted by other titles: I seem unable to keep even my own commitments!!! 😀

When we are speaking about books and TBR all is fai! Commitments aren’t so strong, they are more wishful suggestions!! 😉

Grace of Kings is really good, even if it’s long. It’s a good year to start the series since Book 3 comes out at the end of the year!

Oh that’s one more reason to finally get to it!!

Oh man! Wheel of Time series is a commitment. Hope it goes well for you though. I’m still struggling to get going with the sixth book, but I’m very interested in the story.
And Black Tides of Heaven is very interesting. I liked it, but I think I gave up after the second or third book.

I have started Wheel of Time something like 15 years ago, and then dropped it, but I really hope to have more luck with it this second time around!!
