Hello everybody and happy Sunday! I hope you all are well. This week was a good one, even if I wasn’t really lucky with my reading. Or better, I was very lucky and very unlucky, but let’s see why!
What I am reading?

The Thousand Deaths of Ardor Benn is still here, but I am loving this book. It is just so fun and full of wonders! The only problem is that it is quite chunky so I am not going to haul it around with me and so I have less time to read it. But this is just so good!!!! And if I am lucky I would have some time to spend with it on Monday. I am really looking forward to it!
And then I have started Gideon The Ninth. Finally! I was so looking forward to this one! I have just started it, so I can’t really say, but so far it seems good!!!
What I have read?

I read quite a lot, and I have finished the two books that I was reading last week: Il genio non esiste which was interesting and fun. I loved it! And Dispel Illusion was quite good! I wasn’t really convinced by the first book of this series, but then the other two changed my mind!!! And finally I have read Breakout. I waited so long to finish this series, and I did it! Yay! It was a very fast and action packed book, with twists, plots and explosions. And redemption. It was good!

So far so good, right? But here the problems started! I was hoping for November to be a month without DNF but… I wasn’t so lucky! Metro 2033 was taking forever for something to happen. We have the biggest info dump ever, because the author just dumps on us all his ideas for the worldbuilding, and he tells us a lot, but nothing really happen for a long long time. I was quite bored and decided to just let it drop. And The Rise of The Red Hand didn’t fare better. Things happen in there, that’s true, and we have an interesting setting, because it is set in a futuristic South Asia, so this was interesting. But not all the rest. I was bored with this one too, and so I said goodbye to it too. But then there is Barrayar. I kept this one last because… because I loved it so much! I loved the first book, and I had pretty great expectations for this one, but oh my! I loved loved loved it! And I wanted to have a bit of time to gush about it because it was amazing! We have a lot of things going on, the plot is moving forward and we have a lot happening, and we get to know Barrayar way better, so we are covered on the world-building part too, but the best are the characters! Oh my! I loved them!!!!
What would I read?

I know that I am constantly repeating myself with this one, but I am just so so curious! I need to read it!!!
Blogging and Real Life!
This week I wasn’t really present on the blog. I am behind with blog-hopping, sadly, and I wasn’t really feeling like writing reviews. But I hope to change things in this new week, with more blog-hopping, and more reviews, or at least a bit more posting.

Ade is growing egoistic, he want’s all the balls for himself when we play, as you can see in the first picture. He has both of them and he won’t give you any. Not one. He just loves to run with all the balls in his mouth. But he is so funny! And then you can see a picture of a poor tortured dog, that was constantly afoot while we were trying to put on the pajamas. And so he ended with a sweater for himself.
Anyhow… this is all for today! I hope you all would have a great Sunday!
And what about you? How was your week? What have you read? Let me know!
Happy reading!

Ade is so cute in that sweater. My dogs hate being dressed up so I don’t even try🤣 Hope you have a good week, Susy!

We tried just that one and we take it out after taking a couple of pics (yeah, we are just that bad! 😉) because he wasn’t so happy himself!
Thank you!! And have a good week you too!!

I am curious to know what you would think of it, but so far I am having a great time! I think that there are some things that could have been better developed, but is so much fun!

Aw man, Metro 2033 has always intrigued me because of the video games but I keep hearing that the books are a struggle to get through! Glad to hear about Mark Lawrence’s novellas though. I can’t wait to check those out. Happy reading! 😀

Metro 2033 was recommended to me by a coworker who loved the game and tryed out the book and loved it too. So maybe if you really loved the game there is hope, but for me it was, sadly, a big nope!

Ade is too funny with his “prizes”! A friend’s Golden Retriever does the same: you throw him the ball and he keeps it, releasing it only when you offer him some food… 😀
And I’m happy to see you gushing about Barrayar: it’s indeed the book where you see Barrayaran society up close, and it’s fascinating, but the characters take the lion’s share of the limelight indeed… Looking forward to your full review for this one 🙂
