WEEKLY WRAP-UP! #20

Hello people! How are you? And how was your week?? I can’t complain too much, but I am constantly tired, and I know that this has become a refrain, but I am in dire need of some off-time. I need my vacations and I need them now! I think this is the first time in my life I am eagerly looking froward to August, usually I am waiting for September and for the Summer to end, but now I need August!
But now I’ll stop complaining and start talking about something more interesting! This was a very good week for reading, for once!

What I am reading?

Strange as it may sound, at the moment I am reading just one book. I have finished yesterday the other one I was reading and I haven’t started something new yet, so here we are. Mo Dao Zu Shi is really entertaining, and maybe I’ll manage to dedicate to it more time before starting another book. Usually I read it on my phone when I cannot read something else, but maybe I would try it on my PC for an hour or so. It is really a nice and fun novel!

What I have read?

It took me a ridiculous amount of time, but finally I have finished Jade City. I didn’t love it, and I was expecting way more from it, but it wasn’t bad and I didn’t want to DNF because I was curious to see if something would happen, somewhere. I won’t read the second one, that’s for sure, but it wasn’t so bad. The Kingdom of Liars was very captivating. It is a book that is far from perfect, but even in this period of very hard to please mood, I enjoyed it quite a lot! The Dire King is the last book of the Jackaby series, and I am happy to have finished another series, even if I’ll miss Jackaby and Miss Rook. And I have also managed to read a book that wasn’t on my Summer TBR, but that I had on my TBR since forever: Generation V. To be honest, I was hoping for something more. It wasn’t bad, and I had fun while reading, but the MC is not really my kind of character, and so I don’t know if I would continue the series. But I had a nice time with him.

What would I read?

I am a bit undecided. I have read 9 out of 29 books from my TBR, so I have a long way to go with that one, but I was thinking about reading something not fantasy, what I don’t know is if I would pick a title from my TBR or if I would try some sci-fi. While writing my latest Blame it on the community post I realized that I am adding a lot of sci-fi titles to my TBR but I am not reading any of them so… who knows! I let my mood decide for me!

Blogging and Real Life!

This week I haven’t tried to do yoga with Ade, sadly, but I hope to try again this new week. It is not really that I want him to do yoga with me, just that I’d love to go back to do yoga somewhat regularly.
Anyway, he kept growing so fast! And sometimes he tries to redecorate the home, too…

On another note, I have started watching Erased on Netflix. It is a Japanese drama and an adaptation from a manga/anime. It seems like I am finding the time, even if I watch just an episode here and there, but it makes me happy to be able to do it again! And so far this is a good series, too!

On the blogging side I am not so sure on what would bring the next week. I am thinking about writing a review for Jackaby series, and to keep stock on my reading goal so far. So maybe you would see them on the blog next week, but I am not making promises here! And I am behind with blog-hopping, so I hope to do some reading too!

And that’s all! How was your week? And what do you plan for the next one? Let me know!!

Happy reading!
S.

I’m still very excited to read Jade City, although it’s not going to happen soon. I’m sorry you didn’t like it! And I felt similar to you with Generation V. It was fun and enjoyable but I doubt I’ll continue the series. Hope you have a good week, Susy😁

I am glad you enjoyed it. I was hoping for more, but it wasn’t all bad and it really has some interesting point! And you are doing great with Oathbringer! Sanderson’s books are a whole new level of chunky!!! But they are so worth it! 😍
