Hello everyone! How are you? And how was your week? Mine was pretty full, but not so satisfying, reading-wise. I really hope to get better luck with my reading the next week! Also, I am behind with my blogging too, both writing post and blog hopping. So let’s hope to get back on track, too! But now I stop complaining and start this recap!
What I am reading?
I really think that The Sword of Kaigen would keep me company all month long, in part because it is really a chunky book and I can’t take him with me everywhere I go, and in part because, even if I am enjoying it, I am not loving it as much as I was hoping. I am not saying that this is a bad book but… I was expecting more, in some respect. And I have just started Snake Agent. I had this book on my TBR since forever, or so it seems, and the other night I was quite undecided. I wanted to start a new book, but I wasn’t in the mood for any of the books that I had (I was in a bad mood, yep!) so I have chosen completely randomly, and so far I am being lucky. The book is interesting, and not what I was expecting, but so far so good!
What I have read?
To be precise, I have read only Midnight Blue-Light Special, the second volume of the InCryptid series by Seanan McGuire. This is not my favorite series, but it is a fast and nice series, and I love Aeslin Mice so much! Also, it is entertaining, so all was good here. And then I DNFed two books. Yep. And both of them were books I received to review. So, shame upon shame. But The Art of Dying was more a draft than the finished book, and The Raven Lady was just so meh and I wasn’t really interested in the story or invested in the characters, so I have chosen to just drop it. It was a hard choice, but I think it was the right one.
So, this week wasn’t really great for my reading. Let’s hope that my next books would be amazing!
What would I read?
I am not 100% sure, since I am in a mood, but I was approved for a ton of interesting ARCs, so I think that my next reading would be one of them, and more precisely The Angel of the Crows. I discovered this author in May and I was in love! I have read some mixed reviews about this one, but I am really curious, so let’s hope this would be good!
Blogging and Real Life!
Work is back to normal, and this is not so good, because it means that I haven’t so much time at home anymore, and even less time to read. And we once again started to sleep out for work, and I am so noooooot happy about it. Even more so, because this week I had to sleep out on Monday evening. And Monday my poor puppy, Ade, was operated. He needed surgery for a small problem in an eye. Luckily all went good, and now he is happy and well, but I wasn’t at home to see him and it was just hard!
Anyway, all went well, and now he is well. We managed to take him with us in some places, too, and he was quite good. He can be so stubborn sometimes, but he was a good boy, yay! And we managed to remove that bothersome collar, too. So now he is really happy!
Puppy aside, I am a bit behind with blogging. I wanted to share some reviews, and some recap post, and I have also a nice tag to share, but… between puppy time and work, I was pretty tired out. I hope to do better this week. I am behind with blog-hopping too, and I am just so curious to read what you all posted this week! Let’s hope I would start reading your posts really soon!
That’s all for my week! How was yours? Have you done some great reading? And have you read some of the books I have mentioned? And how is going your life?? Let me know!
Happy reading!
S.
I’m so glad your pup is doing well, he is a cutie. I can imagine how tough it would have been missing out on seeing him after his surgery.

I’m glad your pup is ok! And I’m sorry to hear about The Raven Lady. I have a review copy too, but I probably won’t read it yet. I hope you’re able to read more this week😁

Thank you! And I am sorry too for The Raven Lady. It is true that I think that the first book was better, but it is also true that I am really in an hard to please mood, sadly. Let’s hope this week would bring more luck!!
