WEEKLY WRAP-UP! #12

Hello wonderful people and happy Sunday! How are you? And how are your reading going? I posted my April’s recap a couple of days ago, so this would be a poor recap, because I didn’t get so much reading done in just a couple of day, but I wanted to share with you all my bingo card, and since the monthly recap was a very long post I decided to do it here, so… let’s begin!

Also, Wyrd and Wonder is now in full swing and I am sooooo loving it!

What I am reading?

I am so so happy about my current reading, even if I have just started both of them! Foundryside was on my TBR since forever, or so it seems, and I can’t believe I have really started it! And the same goes for The Goblin Emperor. I am taking part in the read-a-long and I have read the chapters for this first week. And stopping there was the hardest thing ever! I just want to go on with the reading!!!!

What I have read?

This is a blue cover galore! Aren’t they pretty? Anyway… I have read Duckett & Dyer because I am taking part in its blog tour, but to know more about it you have to wait a little bit yet. But it was an original and intriguing reading! And then there is the Italian edition of Cadaver & Queen. It wasn’t bad but… I didn’t fall in love with it!

What would I read?

I am soooo looking forward to continuing this series, so I think that my next reading would be Saint’s Blood, that is the fourth volume, yay!

And now… the bingo card!

Thanks to this Bingo I got the opportunity to read some books that were on my TBR but that they weren’t so high on the list, and I loved them! I am talking about The Demons We See that was quite surprising and Snowspelled, that was a captivating reading! And also about Under Heaven, that was on my shelves since forever. Some of them were lucky fit, like The Collapsing Empire, Her Majesty’s Necromancer and I, Exile which were on my TBR for April and which were the right books for this job! I used this card as an “excuse” to continue a couple of series, too, with Silence Fallen and The Dirt on the Ninth Grave, and continuing series is always a good thing! I was thinking about using the short novellas I am reading from The Powder Mage series, because I am loving them, but then I received Swashbuckling Cats and I had to change my plan, because this one was too good to pass! And last, but not least, I used the Italian edition of Cadaver and Queen for the square about the translation! My original plan was to try and read 5 books in April, but since the lockdown and the impossibility to plan ahead my reading time, I ended up doubling the amount. I know that this rhythm won’t keep up, but I am really satisfied with it!

So, today post is long enough so I would end it there for today!

That’s all for my week! How was yours? Have you done some great reading? And have you read some of the books I have mentioned? And how is going your life?? And would you take part in Wyrd and Wonder??? Let me know!

Happy reading!
S.

Oh wow you’ve done so much on your bingo card already!
I’m so glad they picked Goblin Emperor for the readalong, it’s one of my favorites and I love seeing all the love it’s getting.
Currently reading Swashbuckling Cats and I’m here for all the cute (and/or evil) kitty adventures
