WEEKLY WRAP-UP! #6

Hello people! How are you? And how is the situation out there? Are you safe? I hope so, and I also hope you had a great week! I have worked a couple of days, and then I get some other vacation days, but from tomorrow I would be back to work, so let’s hope it would all go well!
Anyway, this week it was a great week for my reading, so let’s talk about them!

What I am reading?

It seems that I am looking toward an amazing week, because I just started both of them, so I can’t say anything, but they both look like amazing reading! And I have great expectations, so let’s hope I won’t be disappointed!

What I have read?

This week was quite rich in reading. And I was very lucky because not only I have read a lot of books, but they were just soooo good! I am a happy bookworm! The Hanged Man of Saint-Pholien is a mystery and it was quite good. I like Maigret’s book, and it was a needed change of genre here. And I was good with the series, too, because I have read the second volume of three different series, yay! Rise of Empire was good and entertaining. To be honest, I preferred the first one, but I enjoyed this reading and I had a great time with it! Dust of the Darkness was as good as the first book, even if, again, if I have to choose between them, I would choose the first one. But it was good! And then I read The Hanged Man. And oh guys, I loved it! It was fun, and entertaining, and so full of good banter, great characters and a lot of action! This reading wasn’t planned, but it was even better than what I was expecting and… I loved it! And then we have a surprise, a real surprise. Tavern. I can say without any doubt that this is one of the best reading of the year! It has so much in it! And it was just amazing!

What would I read?

This would be my next reading, or at least I think since all can change before I finish my current reading. I have read some interesting things about this book, and I hope it would not disappoint me!

Blogging and Real Life!

So, here in Italy, the quarantine is going on and we don’t know when this would end. The other day I went shopping for groceries, and that was quite a… different experience. Just one person for every family, and one at a time inside the shop (it is a big shop and inside there isn’t just one person, they established a “safe number” to let in, and every time a person comes out another one can go in, to maintain this number of people inside it). Anyway, it was strange and it took me forever to do the shopping, but it isn’t so terrible. Just time-consuming. But better safe than sorry!
This little adventure aside, I had a great time at home! I have managed to read a lot, I have managed to go on with my The Big Bang Theory marathon, and I am happy to say that I am currently watching the fifth season! I am not doing much progress with the second season of Altered Carbon, because… well, I am finding it highly disappointing! I loved the first one, really really loved but this one… nope!
And I went back to videogames! I love them but usually, if I have to choose between reading and gaming, well… you can guess which one I would choose, right? But with so much time at hand, I had an amazing time with them, too. I could have been a good girl and used mine. I am quite a gamer of habits, and usually, I restart the same game once I let too many time pass from the last time I played (I know, if you are a gamer this would horrify you, sorry, not sorry!), or I go on forever with the same game. And I am “currently” playing Skyrim, so I could have continued it. But I choose to take advantage of my boyfriend and so I played with The Sims 4 (how I missed this game!!!!!) on his PlayStation, and I made good use of his Switch, too, starting Dragon Quest.
It seems like I had a great week, right?? I don’t want to go to work tomorrow!! I want to stay at home and play!!!!

And on the blog side, I hope to write a review for Tavern really soon. I loved that book, and even if I fear to not make him justice, I have to talk about that with you all. And I think it would go online the second post of the meme We Treasure You! And this time would be with quite a peculiar choice!

That’s all for my week! How was yours? Have you done some great reading? And have you read some of the books I have mentioned? And how is going your life?? Let me know!

Happy reading!
S.

I always worry about you, Susy. Here in the US the media talks non stop about how bad the situation in Italy is right now. I’m surprised you get to go back to work! But I’m glad you’ve read so many good books. I also loved The Hanged Man😁

It was really amazing!! 😍 And yes, the major problem is that is time consuming (which is not a big problem for a lot of people, since many workplace are closed or on a shorter schedule, so even if you lose some time it’s not a big deal… I mean, there are better things to do with your time than waiting outside a shop, but at least you won’t have to worry about being late to work or to some appointments, at least!)
      Thank you!

Grocery stores are crazy rn! I’m doing my best to stock up so I dont have to make as many trips lol. I have however been able to do more blogging and reading with my new free time (which we are loving) but still feel like my tbr is haunting me. Happy reading and great post 🙂

Wow, so much awesome reading this week! I really want to get to The Last Sun and Promise of Blood this year.

I might start a new Skyrim save during quarantine, but I just restarted Mass Effect Andromeda last night, so we’ll see how much of my time that takes up. ME:Andromeda isn’t my fave of the series, but I never actually finished it the first play through, so might as well try again!

    Stay safe out there!
