Hello people! How are you? And how was your week? February is almost gone and I am baffled by it! I mean, we are two months in 2020 and to me, it has just started yesterday! Anyway, let’s start this recap!
What I am reading?
I am taking my sweet time with Heroes Wanted because it’s an anthology and so I can just read a story here and there, and I am reading it on my cellphones, so it’s the reading I do when I am between things to do. But so far I am quite satisfied by that. And I am reading The Bard’s Blade, too. I was so excited to start this one, and the reading is going quite well but… it’s lacking something. It’s not bad, and maybe I would change my mind before finishing it but… I was expecting more.
What I have read?
My reading week was quite good, and I had read two books from the TBR plus one that was a spoor of the moment decision: Night and Silence! This one is the 12th of October Daye’s series and I loved it. It was even better than what I was expecting and I was missing all these amazing characters! Sapphire Flames lived up to my expectations, too. And this was a hard thing to do because my expectations were very very high! And then I have completed Cress. It was quite a fun and entertaining reading but I am seriously thinking about dropping this series, even if I already came this far!
What would I read?
I don’t know yet, because I am hoping to finish The Bard’s Blade before choosing something else, but since this month it seems like I am following a trend, with all the Urban Fantasy series I have continued so far, I think I would choose something else of the same kind. Maybe another Ilona Andrews or Seanan McGuire’s book.
So, I am reading the last book from my TBR and it seems like I have some time to spare, yay! I don’t know if I would do a TBR for March, but I am quite satisfied with my keeping track!
Blogging and real life!
This week was very good for my social life, because I had a ton of it, even if I was hoping to get a shopping day with my mother too, but we didn’t manage it. We postponed it to the next week and I am really looking forward to it, to be honest. But this meant that I managed to get more me time, and I was grateful for it because I was seriously needing it.
Also, I get my medical examinations this week. It’s just routine that is required for my job and all it was good but it was quite stressful because they are not so well organized at it, and it means that you just have to lose a day with them… what a waste! And it also meant that I hadn’t read at all that day, and that’s a thing that it always seems like a shame, to me!
On a happier note, this week I have posted my first We treasure You where I managed to talk to you all about a book that I really loved, and also the first Blame it on the Community, so I count this wee as a complete success!
That’s all for my week! How was yours? Have you done some great reading? And have you read some of the books I have mentioned? And how is going your life?? Let me know!
Happy reading!
S.
It looks a great week. I hope you have great time shopping with your mother next week and enjoy the books you decide to read.

I really loved The Bards Blade, but it was not what I was expecting. I’m curious to hear what you think. Hope you have fun with your mom😁

Glad you enjoyed Cress! If you’re on the fence about continuing…well, the last book is like 800 pages. I personally enjoyed the series a lot, but maybe this one isn’t for you!

I think so, too. It wasn’t bad, but… just not the right one for me. The characters have ton of potential, and they are fun but… not enough, I don’t really care for the story itself so, yes, I don’t think it is for me. Thanks for the advice!!!!! ❤

Too bad you aren’t enjoying The Bard’s Blade, I’ve heard good things about that one. Hope your week has been good so far!

I think that the hype ruined it a little, for me. It is not a bad book but it could have been more! Thank you!!

I’ve seen a lot of reviews recently that mention ‘The Bard’s Blade’ is alright but lacking something. I think I will pass on it 🙂

It was really hyped but… Yeah, for me is lacking something. Not a bad reading but nothing special, sadly!
