October Wrap-Up!

Hello people! How are you? And how was your bookish month? Mine was great on one hand and hmm… I could have done better on the other. But I did a lot of great reading so I can’t complain too much! I decided to read as many ARCs as possible in October, and I did good because all the e-books I have read this month were ARCs, so yay! I was a very good girl! But I have read just 2 physical books and that’s so not good! But, as I was saying, I enjoyed all my reading so I am really happy!

October Reading Stats:
Books read: 12 + 1 graphic novels + 6 mangas
Ebook: 11
Books: 2
ARCs: 11

Awesome!

All of those books were amazing reading! Morning Star was way much better of what I was expecting, and I had set my expectations high! There is so much in these pages that it hurts and I loved it from the beginning to the end. Slothilda was the cutest thing ever! And yep, I may have a sloth as my spiritual animal! A Bad Boy Stole My Bra was fun and sweet, and fun and sweet and I loved it! While Priest of Bones was the exact opposite and I loved it to pieces for that, too. Orange is the manga. I have read all the 6 volumes this month and I think this is an adorable manga! And then there is the real surprise of October: Sofia and the Pornographic Penguin. It was hilarious! And pure genius, to be honest!

They were good!

Dracula. Rise of the Beast is a collection of short stories with a narrative context around them all. I didn’t enjoy all the stories, but it was an interesting reading and it was the right book for this time of the year. Also, I liked a lot some of the stories. And I have read a non-fiction book, too, Ur-Fascism by Umberto Eco. It was an interesting reading, even if it’s really really short!

Not bad

All of these books were fast-paced, short reading, not too demanding but captivating, everyone is his own way, and all of them are ARCs, so I would write a review for all of them. Magic Runs Deep has a lot of potentialities, and seems more a sort of prequel for a future series, more than a “real” book, but I enjoyed the reading a lot. Kills Switch is full of action, and it’s not for the soft-hearted, and the same can be said for Aggravated Momentum, while Secrets and Assumptions is more on the romance, even if we have a mystery and action in there, too.

Not so good

My Reviews:
Slothilda
by Dante Fabiero
Priest of Bones by Peter McLean
Devil Take Me by Karilyn Bentley
Deadly Rising by Jeri Westerson
The Hero Strikes Back by Moira J. Moore
Blackwood Marauders by K.S. Villoso
And Then There Were Crows by Alcy Leiva

All in all I am quite satisfied with myself and whit my reading. I hope to write more review in November, and I’d like to talk to you all about the books that I have loved and that aren’t ARCs. This month just one of the reviewed wasn’t an advanced copy and I enjoyed writing that review so much!

Anyway, that’s all folks! How was your October in books???

Happy reading!
S.
