Hello people! How are you? October flew by, really, and now it’s the time for all the recap pots! Aren’t you happy? I am excited because, at last, I can post this wonderful meme again!
State of the ARC is a monthly meme atAvalinah’s Booksmeant to motivate you to finish up all your long overdue ARCs (Advanced or Early Reader Copies). You can track your reading progress and link up with your own post. Most commonly it comes out on the 30th of every month.
I decided to dedicate October to the ARCs and I am really happy to say that I did well, ok, not only well but great! All the ebooks that I have read in this month were ARCs, yay! And my rating on NetGalley is again up to 50%. I know, that’s bad, not good… but I may have requested a little too much of galley and I, again, may be a little behind with the reviews, because in October I did great reading wise but if we speak about reviews, well… I was a bit lacking on that front, tbh! But I have November to try and do better, so this month there is no box of shame for me!!!!
My Current State of the Arc!
Netgalley- total: 49 ARC
Not due: 6
Overdue, Unread: 33
Read, Review Due: 10
Author- total: 21
Overdue, Unread: 19
Read, Review Due: 2
I really have to find the time to write the review, and I would try my best in November. I don’t plan to read a lot of ARCs in the next month, to be completely honest, but at least I can try to post the review. It would be a huge help here!
Bricks Knocked Down
They are the first fours! Aggravated Momentum is a book I received in exchange of an (honest) review, and I am working on it. The others are from NetGalley. All of them were quite fast reading, and I have published a review, for Devil Take Me. Not too bad, right?
The books in the first pics aren’t bad, but these ones are better, way way better!!! Priest of Bones was a fantastic read! And Slothilda was simply adorable! For both of them, the review is online! Then I read A Bad Boy Stole My Bra that was a fun and sweet reading, and Dracula. Rise of the Beast. This one was a collection of short stories about Dracula, and it’s the right reading for Halloween!
Yes, I am not finished yet! I told you I was a good girl, right? Anyway, there are those two, too: Kill Switch, that was a fast reading, and Sofia and the Pornographic Penguin, that I loved! I gave 5 stars to this book, even if this is not a 5 stars book, but I enjoyed the reading so much, I had so much fun that I choose to reward that! I hope to write soon the review!!!!!!
So, I have written three reviews for the books that I have read this month, and I have posted three reviews for books I have read in the past months: Deadly Rising, Blackwood Marauders and And Then There Were Crows. Well, I wrote 6 reviews O.o I think that’s not so bad, but I was prepared for a minor number. I can surprise even myself sometimes! But I hope to increase that number in November, so keep your finger crossed for me!
Let’s get motivated!
I won’t read as many ARCs in November, but I really hope to read those two: Peril in the Old Country by Sam Hooker, that I was hoping to read in October, but my buddy reading with Iron Gold by Pierce Brown (*_*) is more demanding than expected and The Harbinger because I would take part in the blog tour and I am really looking forward to it!
And that’s all for today! Did you read some ARCs in October? Do you take part in this meme, too? And have you read the books nominated in this post?? Let me know!!!
Happy reading!
S.
I was happy because we don’t get as much releases for November and December, so I won’t be tempted to request more ARCs, but now I’m seeing ARCs for 2019 books and I WANT TO REQUEST THEM SO BADLY. 😛 And oh my gosh, Sofia and the Pornographic Penguin sounds so weird and interesting! I can’t wait for your review on it!

And I hope to write that review ASAP because the book was amazing! ❤

Wonderful job, Susy! That’s a lot of bricks knocked down :O I have not read any ARCs, not for a few months now, but your posts surely made me crave for them again… Ugh, I don’t need to expand my TBR but I fear I must xD
