May Wrap-Up

Hello people! How are you? This month I am not too late with the monthly recap, yay! In May I took part in Wyrd and Wonder, a wonderful and epic event fantasy themed. It was great, even if in the second half of the month my attendance was scarce. But I read a lot of fantasy books and I loved them all (or almost all) and that’s a wonderful thing!

May Reading Stats:
Books read: 13
Ebook: 8
Books: 5
ARCs: 5

In my State of the ARC post I signed just 3 books instead of 5 because I have counted just the fantasy ones, and I don’t know why. I am losing my mind, probably.

5 stars and 4.75 stars

I think that the best reading of the month was Etched in Bone by Anne Bishop, fifth and last volume of The Others series. I loved this series so much and this book is just amazing! My poor feelings this month suffered a lot! But all the other books were awesome! I loved Crooked Kingdom, Kings of the Wyld, Stalking Darkness and The Blade Itself. All of them were wonderful!!!!!

4 stars

Both of them are ARCs and both of them are awesome! I hope to read more books from these authors and I hope to do it soon!

3.5 stars

The first one is an Italian book and I am not a big fan of the author, but this one wasn’t bad, lucky me! Wild Things is an urban fantasy and it’s the 9th volume of The Chicagoland Vampires series. I don’t know how many books there are yet in this series, but I hope not so many! And then there are the only two non-fantasy books of the month. They are ARCs and the author send to me a collection of the first three books in this series. In April I have read the first one and once I have started it I couldn’t stop myself!

This one is the 5th book in The Rifter series. I like this author and her world building is really great but… I don’t know if I am still interested in this series, sadly.  I enjoyed the reading but I was expecting more, so I think I would read the next one and decide if keeping on with this series or drop it.

This was, sadly, the worst book of the month and it was an ARCs that I received thanks to NetGalley. I had some expectations but I disliked most of the stories.

I really, really loved that series! And I will read Lake Silence, that’s for sure! I am really curious! Have you read it yet?
And I am really happy to have read your review of Bones and Bourbon! Without it I may have read the book much later on!!!!

I would have loved something more with Simon and Meg, too! But in the end I am quite satisfied by it.
And yes, I will read Lake Silence, too, because I really loved this series and I like the author, too, so I need to read that! And I’m glad you loved it!! ❤
