Hello people! How are you? I’m really satisfied by my reading at the moment, I am reading two fantastic books, and they’re both fantasy and from my TBR so… yay! And today I am here with a new post for the wyrd and wonder event to speak about… guess what? Series!
Today I would present some fantasy series that I loved and that I have read from the first volume to the last! I have a ton of series that I am following, because I love to start new series, and there’s always something new to read, so I start a lot (and I mean A LOT!) of series, but I am more more slow to end them (I am a sloth when we speak about ending series). Shame on me, I know. But sometimes it happens, the stars are well aligned and I finish a series… and today I’d love to speak about some of them!
To be honest, in the last post (here) I spoke about some finished series, too, but today it would be more adult fantasy oriented.
As usual, I present them in no particular order.
- Fareseer Trilogy. But for me, this trilogy is a unique series with the others two by the same author with the same characters: the author is the awesome Robin Hobb, and the characters are Fitz Chevalier and the Fool. ❤ The author is really a sadistic, because she makes her characters and her readers suffer, a lot! But I love this series!!!!
- The Broken Empire by Mark Lawrence. This series is really grim, but it’s awesome! I loved the characters (Jorg!!!) and the story, the author really did a great job with this series!
- The Left Hand of God by Paul Hoffman. This series is original and fun, even if it’s a dark one. The characters are great, too, the world building is interesting and I think that the author really amused himself while writing these books.
- Warbreaker by Brendon Sanderson. Technically this one is not a series, but a stand-alone. But… Sanderson said that he’s writing a sequel for this one, so it’s a series, right? And then… I just had to speak about this book! I love this author and I liked all of his books that I ‘ve managed to read so far, but this one, well… this one is my favorite of his books! So… here it is!
- Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson. Here I am speaking about the original trilogy, because it’s the only one that I’ve finished, even if I plan to read the other ones soon. This is the series that made Sanderson one of my favorite author, also, for me was the series that made me discover him.
And that’s all for today! Now I’m dying to speak about the series that I have started and that I am loving… but that won’t be today!
And what about you? Did you read this series? And what are some of the series that you have finished and that you want to recommend? Let me know!
Happy reading!

Great list I love Sanderson’s books and Warbreaker is my favorite too, it’s so good. I’m so excited there’s a sequel, but I’m not excited about how long we’ll have to wait for it 😂

Thank you! 🙂 And it’s always a wonderful thing to find another Sanderson’s fan (who love Warbreaker too <3!) but yes, the waiting would kill us!!!!

I’m the same, I’m quite good at starting series but not finishing them. Except for Hobb! I have the start of her series but haven’t read it yet 😅 I’ve read Prince of Thorns but I haven’t read the rest of that trilogy; faring better with his new trilogy though, I’m in Grey sister now.
However, I’ve read everything of Sanderson’s except Oathbringer. We’re big big Sanderson fans in this house!

The series are a burden for we, poor fantasy bookdragons! 😉 I’m dying to start the new Lawrence’s series, but I promised myself to finish The Red Queen’s War series, I have two more books to go and I hope to get to them really soon!
And for Sanderson… for now I am reading the books that they have translated in Italian because my mother and my brother love him too, but they read just in Italian, sadly!

I’m quite surprised, I’d have thought all his books had been translated, he’s such a popular author!

Most of them are translated, but for example here we have 4 books translated of Mistborn’s series, but they aren’t in commerce so found them it’s quite hard… I have the original trilogy, but I don’t have the fourth book and I can’t find it… 😦

Have you read Brandon Sanderson’s Alloy of Law? It was good and there are two more books possibly after it.
